2023 Good Design Awards 初審入圍
大開本《嘉畫》共發行三期。我們以「路上觀察學」與人類學田野調查為方法，循序漸進地回望與展望嘉義這座歷史悠久的綠色城市，如何邁向永續發展目標（SDGs）。創刊號以「野生嘉義」為主題，呈現林業城市豐富的自然生態與人文景觀；第二期「嘉義起家」聚焦青年返鄉創業的可能性；第三期「嘉義好學」則探討從幼兒教育到終身學習的發展現況，以及多元學習場域的蓬勃樣貌。
大判の画報スタイルで刊行された『嘉画』は、全3号で構成されています。私たちは「路上観察学」と人類学的フィールドワークを編集手法とし、林業の歴史と豊かな緑に育まれた嘉義という都市を見つめ直しながら、持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）に向けた歩みを段階的に描きました。創刊号『野生嘉義』では、林業都市ならではの豊かな自然生態と文化的景観を紹介し、第2号『嘉義起家』では、若者のUターンによる起業の可能性を取材しました。第3号『嘉義好学』では、幼児教育から生涯学習までの現状と、市内に広がる多様な学びの場を紹介しています。
Published in a large-format pictorial newspaper format, Chia-Hua ran for three issues. Using street observation and anthropological fieldwork as our editorial methodology, the publication gradually looked back on and reimagined how Chiayi—a historic city shaped by its forestry heritage and abundant greenery— is moving toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The inaugural issue, Wild Chiayi, explored the city’s rich natural ecology and cultural landscapes. The second issue, Building Home in Chiayi, examined the possibilities of young people returning to their hometowns to start new ventures. The third issue, Learning in Chiayi, documented the development of education from early childhood to lifelong learning, alongside the flourishing diversity of learning spaces across the city.

這份畫報描繪市民豐富多元的生活風景，同時深入探討他們所面臨的各種生活議題，並嘗試提出具體可行的解決方案。我們透過兼具復古美學與當代感的畫報形式，以及細膩活潑的版面設計，降低公共議題的閱讀門檻，鼓勵閱讀、分享與交流，進而促成市民持續參與公共事務的討論。
本誌は、市民の豊かで多彩な暮らしを描き出すと同時に、人々が直面するさまざまな生活課題を掘り下げ、その解決の可能性を探りました。レトロな画報の美学と現代的なエディトリアルデザインを融合させることで、公共的なテーマをより身近で親しみやすいものとし、読む・共有する・語り合うきっかけを生み出しました。そして、市政やまちづくりをめぐる市民の継続的な対話と参加を育むことを目指しました。
The publication portrays the richness and diversity of everyday life in Chiayi while examining the challenges faced by its citizens and exploring practical solutions. Through a retro-inspired pictorial format paired with lively and meticulously crafted editorial design, it made public issues more approachable and engaging, encouraging reading, sharing, and dialogue, and fostering sustained public discussion and civic participation in the city’s future.
