From 2019 to 2021, our team planned and produced all eight issues of this cultural quarterly from Pingtung, Taiwan’s southernmost county. With a print run of 10,000 copies per issue, every edition was fully distributed within just a few days and drew widespread media attention. As recognized by the Golden Tripod Awards, the magazine redefined the aesthetics of government publications through its cover and editorial design, printing, and production quality. Grounded in field research and in-depth interviews, each themed issue also offered a reading experience that combined insight with enjoyment.

The quarterly “Taiwan Publishing and Reading,” published by the National Central Library, once featured the magazine in a special report titled “Creating Local Publications to International Standards.” Fostering a strong sense of local cultural identity while meeting global standards of design and aesthetics remains the magazine’s greatest achievement.
