This richly illustrated volume brings together the work of thirteen writers from different generations, genders, and professional backgrounds, alongside a photographer based in Hengchun, to explore the passage of time, nostalgia, and the emotions inspired by the sea. Through a rich diversity of literary voices and visual imagery, the book invites readers to rediscover the many ways the ocean shapes everyday life, while inspiring us, as people of Formosa, to envision the boundless future of our island’s maritime culture.
